There are several ways to figure out if a roofing contractor in the National Capital Region is the right one for you.
If they’ve been in business for over ten years, you can expect them to be relatively stable. If they take the time during their first visit to educate you on your roof system, they probably have your best interests in mind. And if their warranty is in print large enough to read, you can be fairly sure that they aren’t going to cheat you.

It may seem like you can safely assume that all roofers are licensed and insured – but you’d be wrong.
Plenty of roofers operate at the edge of legality, with minimal insurance and no true license beyond a business license. But to be a Master Elite roofer, you must carry a minimum of $2,000,000 in insurance, invest in WSIB, and hold regular training sessions both in class and hands-on.
So, when you work with a Master Elite contractor, you know they are a responsible and prudent business.
We Are Experienced
No company with less than seven years of experience can become a Master Elite Contractor with GAF.
Why?
Because GAF wants to know that we’re a stable company that won’t disappear in a year and leave them (and you) hanging. You see, the GAF Golden Pledge (available only through Master Elite contractors) guarantees the workmanship on your roof, even if the company that installed it no longer exists.
So, they have just as much interest in dealing only with experienced, stable companies as you do.
We opened our doors in 2008, exceeding that requirement years ago.
We Give Over-The-Top Service
This is the big one and the reason why so few roofing contractors qualify for the Master Elite status. In order to be considered a GAF Master Elite Contractor, you must have a 99% positive rating from your past customers. Ninety-nine percent!
And we’re not talking about Homestars or Google reviews, either. GAF personnel follow up with every GAF roof replacement customer that each candidate company has serviced over the previous year and asks them about their experience. If fewer than 99 out of every 100 say they’d recommend that company to their friends – the party’s over.
For most roofing contractors, this is an impossible task.
But at Firon Roofing, it’s our minimum standard and has been for years!
