Quality wise Firon did an amazing job with my roof. It looks fantastic. I can’t say enough about how good it looks. The only downside was the cleanup. I found a few shingle pieces in my lawn which didn’t bother me but I found 3 roofing nails on my laneway and unfortunately 1 in my tire. Firon was very professional in handling the situation and paid for the repairs necessary on my tire immediately. Overall I was very impressed with the company as a whole and the work they provided. - We used Firon Roofing to change our roof and skylight in 2021, and we were extremely pleased with the service and professionalism. The crew was polite, courteous and hard working, and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves. Dominic came around for a final check, and patiently answered all our questions. They also took care with my plants, which I greatly appreciated!
- I live in a town house in Orleans, I called Firon Roofing since on their website it mentioned multiple row housing. From start to finish, everything went smoothly, initial inspection and consultation with Marc, booking with Dominic and the installation crew. There were 3 of us, in a row of townhouses , the crew showed up at 7:00am and completed all 3 roofs by 4:30pm the same day. Very pleased with the look and quality of the roof. Service: Roof repair for storm & wind damage - Our experience with Firon Roofing has been excellent. Our roof sustained damage from the severe windstorm that passed through in May of 2022. Our insurance company sent a representative from Firon (Marc Savard) to assess the damage and arrange the repairs. Although the current roof was less than 20 years old, we opted to have the entire roof replaced and pay the difference from what the insurance was covering.We were initially given an installation timeline of mid-September, but we received a call in mid-August to let us know that they were able to come and do the roof. We are very pleased with the professionalism and workmanship. I would highly recommend Firon Roofing!

Desperately trying to find a reputable roofing company that could come and address two houses and a garage, on a recommendation from a friend, I contacted Firon Roofing. I would highly recommend this company for a number of reasons; quick response time, high quality workmanship, great customer service from the owner, to the receptionist, to the accounting department, to the production company and the crew team. The foreman on my job was a pleasure to deal with. Timelines were given, expectations managed, and outcomes were met in a quick and efficient manner. - Our new home had issues with leaking at the chimney. We needed to remove the chimney, redo the roof and have our hot water tank vented out the side of the house. Firon coordinated everything and had any potential leaks fixed right away. Very happy with our new roof, looks great and we feel much safer in our home. I called several roofing companies in Ottawa only to be told because it’s January, they won’t look at it, or they’ll “get back to me.” Finron was the only company that came out (right away), took a look at the roof and provided a reasonable quote to replace a portion of the shingles and re-seal.While we didn’t need them this time, Finron is the company I’ll call and recommend the next time we need roofing work done.

Services: Roof repair for storm & wind damage, Roof installation - Really pleased with the service. We left a message about wind damage on Sunday morning, Monday they returned the call and had someone out on Tuesday morning. The roofer was quick and efficient and gave us photos of before and after the job, including images of all parts of the roof to show that the wind damage was indeed isolated to one spot. Would use their services again.

They did a roof inspection at the same time and saw some additional problem issues which were documented and photographed. I then had them correct the identified issues such as replacing small vents with high capacity roof vents, etc. Their recommendations prevented Water damage due to defective flashing, wrong roof vents and lack of ventilation.Highly recommend! They respond quickly, do excellent work and their crews are extremely professional. Everything is photographed and documented. Their prices are reasonable considering the quality of service.

Not only did we have Ice Damming, but also a leaky chimney Cap. We had the rest of the roof redone with new vents as well and it turned out perfect. The roofers also installed heating coils for ice damming prevention. Very professional and went above and beyond expectations.

She called back within minutes of hanging up and fit me in the following day. I know that isn’t always possible, but was really appreciated. Service: Skylight installation - Great, friendly and professional service from start to finish! We had our roof done with Firon over a month ago in Greely. Firon provided me with a reasonable quote, everything was well explained and my questions answered, all without any pressure tactics. I’ve reached out to several people in the company a few times and have never had problems reaching them or getting the information I needed. The job was done exactly as promised, surprisingly in less than 2 days (right before the rainfall which had me a bit worried if the job was not done on time, but it was), with the roof/vents looking exactly as expected. The follow up inspection visit was very good as well, with a few items of interest to me checked out and an additional nail sweep with a magnet performed. Since then we had a few heavy rainfalls and just recently a very windy day with a tornado in Ottawa area. No issues with the roof at all. Very satisfied dealing with this company, top notch!

- Being new to Ottawa, and needing a new roof it was bit of a chore to find out which company to go with. After doing several reviews and online research we came upon Firon. We spoke with them and had a sit down, which was great. However, the price was too expensive, so initially we did not go with them and continued our search.Firon contacted us and advised that they would like our business, and would work with us to make a deal. WE had another sit down, and the rep was not pushy at all, and was knowledgeable of the product. We were happy with how he explained things, was not pushy at all and respected our financial situation. In the end everything worked. However, do to a bit of miscommunication we came across bit of a hiccup, but that was resolved VERY quickly. I am pleased to HIGHLY recommend FIRON, they take their job and their customers seriously.Workmanship:I was quite pleased with the workers of Firon, they showed up on time and started working right away – they were diligent and efficient, if there were any questions they asked right away. I have NO issues with how they worked and their cleanliness. They completed our roof in 2 days! Save for a small amount debris that was left behind but that was quickly fixed with a call.Excellent company, I would recommend them!
- Firon Roofing removed and re-installed new shingles on my townhouse roof in November 2019. My previous shingles installed by the builder had ripped off in several places after a couple of wind storms in 2017 and 2018 leaving my roof in bad shape. I am 100% satisfied with the quality of their work, customer service, and shingles used. I would definitely recommend their services if you want your roof done right.
- I first heard of this company from a news story that described them fixing a roof for free for a homeowner ripped off by an unscrupulous contractor (you can google it, cool story). I was missing some shingles after a storm so I decided to give them a call to have it fixed. I am very happy with the whole experience. The communication to start the order was easy, and painless, the crew showed up 24 hours after I made the order request (for reference, another company gave me a 10 week waiting period for the same job) and the work was stellar. After calling several companies and having a number of no shows for the estimate, Firon not only gave me an estimate quickly but was also able to accommodate me by doing the roof before we left on our annual vacation. The estimate provided was detailed and the price was within the range that I expected to pay. The roof was fairly large (over 3000 sq ft) the workers showed up and within two days the work was completed, area cleaned up and the roof looks great. - A roofing project is a significant financial project to undertake but is crucial to maintaining the integrity of one’s investment. After having obtained several quotations for our roofing project we opted for Firon Roofing. Mike Montone presented us with an extensive printed information package followed by quotations for 3 options. In the end we opted for the higher standard because it represented good value for the product being provided (quality materials being used, new flashings, ice shields, Cobra attic ventilation, product and workmanship warranties). Our research also demonstrated that Firon had a good track record with the BBB. Mike and his team made an initial emergency repair a week prior to the actual project starting which was much appreciated. Once the project started the team and supplies arrived punctually. In this unprecedented time of the Covid-19 pandemic, we also appreciated that the Firon team complied with social distancing guidelines with us and between themselves when on site. At the end of each day the Firon team left our property spotless. The project took 2 days to complete and we were fully satisfied. I highly recommend Firon Roofing to anyone who requires a first rate roofing project.
- We knew our roof was on its last legs when we moved in, and pushed replacing it as long as we could. When we were worried about it lasting another winter, after every rainfall left granules for the shingles all over our deck, and we called a few companies for a quote including Firon. The others came out, walked around the house, and gave us a general estimate with several contingencies based upon what they might discover when they started working on the roof, with “TBD” beside items.When Domenik from Firon came, he didn’t spend 5 minutes walking around the house; we talked briefly, and then he grabbed his ladder and went right up on the roof for half an hour. After he came back down from his inspection and prepared his estimate, we walked me through what he had seen, showed me the actual photos of areas of concern, and walked me through all the different options with samples.Never having done a roof before I was rather clueless and asked plenty of questions – but he was happy to answer them and gave me no pressure. When I raised my concern about the roof lasting the winter, he reassured me that he’d seen worse, and talked me through the differences between the granules coming loose, and the integrity of the roof. He said that he saw no need for an immediate replacement, but if anything happened they would take care of it, before the spring.The thoroughness of Firon’s inspection and talking with Domenik was enough for us to sign on for the following spring – with no down payment, which every other company had asked for.Domenik kept in touch leading up to the spring, choosing the shingles a few weeks before the job started, and the team arrived prepared to start. First off they took care to protect our deck, porch, hot tub, and yard before they began, walking us through their COVID protocols and what they would require from us.Hard working. That’s what I will say about the roofing team. They put in 3 long days, and I’ll say that I never realized just how many different roofing surfaces our house had as I watched them. They took care with the old shingles removal, using their mobile cart to drive around the house for the shingles to be dumped in – instead of dropping them onto the ground or walking them over to the far driveway edge for a bin. It should be an industry standard, and my kids loved to watch it drive around and rise/lower from the roof – and it didn’t damage our yard!Every night they would clean up the yard, walking around to remove any stray nails, plastic, etc., and Mike himself came out several times to inspect the work they were doing, and to check if we had any concerns.That level of customer service and care – even after the job had started and finished – proved that the difference I had noticed in Firon wasn’t just a sales tactic.

- In the fall of 2016, after much research on-line about replacing our roof, we had three estimates from very experienced roofing companies in Ottawa.FIRON was top-notch from the initial sales quote thru to the final completion of a new roof.The sales quote included multiple, detailed pricing options, plus roof photos, also doc copies: cert of insurance, wsib clearance cert, Master Elite GAF cert & GAF training cert.Also, brochures of their suppliers and their product samples were provided for roof & ridge cap shingles, vents, roof deck protector, leak barrier, starter strip, plus info on Firon Workmanship Guarantee & GAF Warranty options.The real bonus was the hands on, very involved owner Michael Montone, who understood that the ‘visual’ outside of a home is just as important as the inside. He helped us totally switch roofing colours & update the shingle style (from flat Brown to high-definition Pewter Gray), as we have just recently decided to re-paint the shutters & garage door in the coming spring.To every employee that played a role in the success of our new roof, please accept our thanks for a job very well done!
